White House Historical Association Popup at The Mayflower

We are thrilled to be partnering with the White House Historical Association this year to offer locals and guests a shopping experience that is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Located off the lobby, the popup will run from November through February, Monday through Saturday 10:00am – 7:00pm, Sunday, 12:00pm – 5:00pm and will offer this year’s White House ornament and gifts for all ages.

Shop Made in DC

With locations throughout the city and now in Maryland and Virginia, the Shop Made storefronts offer eclectic gifts all made within the DMV. From DC’s famous mumbo sauce to art inspired by the region’s landmarks, there is a gift for every taste!

A DC tradition! Discover trinkets, artwork and unique gifts at the Downtown Holiday Market. Open daily from November 17th through December 23rd (closed Thanksgiving Day and December 4th) from from noon – 8:00pm

Heurich House Museum’s Christmas Market

Celebrating its 10th year, this German-inspired craft market is back this December! From December 1-3 guests are invited to stroll this festive outdoor experience. This year’s market will feature over 50 local small-scale makers, activities for children and more. This is a ticketed event with the proceeds going to support the museum’s Small Business Development Program, which now supports hundreds of local small businesses.

Unique Market at Union Market

Mark your calendar for December 16-17 for the Unique Market at Dock 5 at Union Market. This market celebrates local makers of candles, hats, flowers, jewelry and handmade bags. Cost of admission is $12.

National Christmas Tree on the Ellipse

One of the hottest holiday tickets in town is for the national tree lighting. The tree-lighting ceremony is a highly anticipated ticketed event, but don’t worry if you miss the lighting; the display is free to visit and open to the public beginning on December 2nd from 10:00am -10:00pm daily.

DC Holiday Lights

From November 17 – January 7, 2024, explore the many neighborhoods of Washington, DC with the DC Holiday Lights project. From Logan and Dupont Circle to Chevy Chase and Tenleytown, each neighborhood will have festive lights for all to enjoy.

National Menorah Lighting

Washington, DC celebrates the festival of lights with the annual lighting of the National Menorah. This year’s lighting will take place on December 7th and tickets are required to attend. This annual Chanukah celebration takes place on the ellipse and includes surprise guests, musical performances and the lighting of the menorah.
