On the Water

For those that are feeling adventurous, why not spend a day on the water? Visitors can rent kayaks, canoes or even take a stand-up paddleboard lesson from Key Bridge Boathouse or Thompson’s Boat Center. You can also hop on the Water Taxi to head over to the Wharf in Southwest or take in the monuments via boat.

Delicious Dining

A stroll on M St or Wisconsin Ave provides visitors with a number of dining destinations. From DC staples like Filomena, Clyde’s and the classic 1789 to fast casual options like the vegetarian-friendly Chia, Dog Tag Bakery and everyone’s favorite cupcakes at Baked and Wired, there is truly something for every taste. For a more upscale dining experience, Reverie, Fiola Mare and Lutèce are standouts in the historic DC neighborhood.

Plenty of Sips to Sample

When the sun is out, the best place to be is by the water, sipping on elegant and innovative cocktails. Georgetown is home to a number of cocktail bars and lounges including new editions, The Fountain Inn, Apéro and L’annexe. For historic views, visitors flock to Tony & Joes or Nick’s Riverside Grill.
